Created in 1823, Rugby has been called football’s older brother.
The game is played in 120 countries with top professional leagues in the U.K, Europe, Japan, South Africa, Australia and South America.
The National Rugby Football League is launching in the United States at a time when rugby is the fastest growing sport in the country with participation up by 350%.
The League has slated play in 2017 with a pool of elite American and international athletes that will draw not only national attendance, but global recognition.
“NRFL’s mission is to make rugby a major-league American sport ready to dominate the U.S. and international stages.”
